As a digital marketer and a business owner, I love using SEO reports. I have always loved how insightful and easy to read they are – so you can imagine my surprise when I heard how some people hate creating them!

After a bit of digging, I discovered that a surprising amount of business owners are not using automated white-label SEO reports.

What Is White-Label SEO?

First, let’s talk about white-label SEO.

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and is vitally important for making your business more visible online. It involves ‘optimizing’ your business’s website so it can improve its search engine results page rankings.

Getting to the top of the search engine results page is vitally important as the top three search results on search engines like Google get over half (54.4%) of all clicks. So, if you want consumers to find your business online, you need to use SEO.

This has led to a lot of companies making SEO their top priority when it comes to their inbound marketing projects.

A survey in 2018 found that growing SEO and organic online presence was the top priority for 61% of businesses, with blog content creation (55%) and marketing automation (50) close behind.

However, the same report also found that generating traffic and leads was the biggest marketing challenge for businesses with 61% claiming so.

This is where SEO reports come in. SEO reports (see also, ‘How Long Does it Take to Learn SEO for Business?‘) help businesses track their website’s SEO performance so they can use it to make informed decisions regarding.

They show what SEO marketing campaigns are working, which ones aren’t, and show all the statistics regarding traffic and leads.

There are different types of SEO reports. These include:

  • Initial Reports – These act as benchmark reports made before you start any SEO efforts. They are used in comparison with later reports to see how your SEO efforts have worked.
  • Ongoing Reports – These show the results of each SEO campaign your business does to see if it was successful or a failure.

So, that’s what SEO and SEO reports are – but what about white-label SEO reports?

White-label SEO reports are basically SEO reports that are built and completed by a SEO tool, but the report itself features your business’s branding.

Yes – you don’t have to do SEO yourself! You don’t even need to hire an SEO specialist to join your company – you can just use a white-label SEO tool and get white-label SEO reports that use your company’s logo and branding.

So, a white-label SEO report is a SEO report completed by a different company but they don’t include any of their branding on your reports.

These reports can also be set up to be automatically created on whatever frequency you choose – so you can have regular SEO reports delivered to you ready for whenever you need them!

The Benefits Of Automated White-Label SEO Reports

Personally, I love automated white-label SEO reports. They offer a ton of different benefits to business owners like me and generally make my job so much easier. Here’s how I have benefited from automated white-label SEO reports during my career.

They Help Me Make Informed Business Decisions

They clearly display all the information for business owners to make informed decisions regarding their websites.

This includes statistics and data regarding:

  • Web Traffic
  • Bounce Rate
  • Search Engine Keyword Rankings
  • User Experience
  • Content Quality
  • Backlinks
  • Visitor Demographics
  • Mobile-Friendly Score

All of this kind of data is vital for helping to optimize your website so search engines like Google will trust your website.

These search engines then in turn are more likely to recommend your website to its users and your business can begin climbing those search engine result pages!

Here’s an example from my own experiences:

Once, I had a SEO report that showed me that my website was not considered very mobile-friendly, and this was something that was actively hurting my website’s SEO.

This is because mobile devices are used for 60% of the world’s internet usage, so it’s likely that most of my target audience use their mobiles for their internet use.

Any visitors using their mobile devices to visit my website would most likely leave due to a poor user experience.

Secondly, whether or not a website is mobile-friendly is a ranking factor for search engines like Google.

By having a website that was not particularly mobile-friendly, this poorly affected my website’s SEO and was making search engines like Google less likely to recommend my website to its users.

So, after seeing this, I changed the layout of my website to be more mobile-friendly – and it worked! My website’s SEO (see also, ‘How Can I Learn SEO for Free?‘) improved and I saw a climb in visitors to my business’s website.

Without this SEO report, I wouldn’t have made the change and my business would not have been as successful.

They’ve Impressed My Clients

Back when I was working as a website creator, automated white-label SEO reports helped me show my clients how my expertise could help make their business more successful.

They showed how the content I added, the changes I made, and the design of the website all helped them reach more traffic – and they were certainly impressed!

Plus, the branding also made the reports look very professional and this reflected more positively on my business’s branding. I felt much more confident sharing these reports with clients knowing that they looked amazing.

Nowadays, I still use automated white-label SEO reports for myself but digital marketers love them because they display all the information you need clearly so clients can read without issue.

Automation Keeps Me On Track

When you are a business owner and you are juggling a million different tasks at once, it’s very easy to forget to run an SEO report. Even when you do remember, it can be time-consuming to do it all yourself.

That’s why I love automation when it comes to business – it’s efficient and helps me keep on track when it comes to my targets and goals.

Creating a SEO report feels like it can take forever, and having them automatically done and sent to me means I can focus on other parts of my business without falling behind.

Apparently, I’m not alone with this – 66% of businesses in 2020 have automated one or more business functions.

What I Look For In A Great White-Label SEO Tool?

So, that’s why I would recommend that businesses use white-label SEO reports – so how do you create and automate them?

It all comes down to finding the best white-label SEO tool.

The great thing about using automated white-label SEO reports is that you do very little of the work and just deal with the analytics from the information provided – but you still need to shop around for a good white-label SEO tool.

I spent forever researching different ones, but eventually I came up with a criteria for all the things I look for in a great white-label SEO tool. I’ve written it out below so you can use it for yourself if you want to – or you can come up with one of your own!

Ease Of Use

Apparently, ease of use is considered to be one of the most critical factors in automation tools. 86% of marketers look for ease of use in their automation tools, and I believe the same goes if you want great automatic white-label SEO reports.

I don’t want to spend forever trying to set up my SEO reports, fixing the branding, or struggle using the dashboard on the software. The easier a SEO tool is to use, the more efficiently I can work – so ease of use is a must!

Customization

Customization ties in closely with ease of use as I want to be able to tailor my white-label SEO reports so they show exactly what data I need and when.

When using an SEO tool, I want to be able to choose what data I see, how frequently I get my reports, and have complete control over the branding so it meets my professional standards.

Quality And Relevant Data

There are an average of 40,000 search queries every second on Google, and this means that keywords are constantly changing and updating.

So, it’s important to get a white-label SEO tool that reports fresh, relevant information and data. Otherwise, you could end up making decisions based on old data that is no longer relevant.

It’s not just me who looks for relevant and quality data when looking for a white-label SEO tool. According to a survey from Ascend2, 52% of marketers agreed that quality data had the biggest impact on how successful their marketing automation tools were.

Keyword Segmentation

Keyword segmentation is a particular feature is something I use as a marketer for multiple clients. It basically allows me to separate hundreds of keywords into different categories for my many clients, so I don’t end up giving the wrong keywords to the wrong business.

So, this is a handy feature to have if you’re a digital marketer like me but not so much if you’re an independent business owner.

Final Thoughts

So, automated white-label SEO reports are super useful to businesses and digital marketers. I have used them throughout my career to help me make important decisions regarding my website and have seen effective results.

Because of this, I would heartily recommend that digital marketers use white-label SEO reports to make informative yet professional reports to share with clients.

Plus, having them automatically sent to you has helped me stay on track and work more efficiently – a huge benefit in my opinion.

To create your own white-label SEO reports and to automate them, you just need to find the right SEO tool. There are plenty out there to check out including some huge names including Wincher, SE Ranking, and Nightwatch.
